Removal

Roper tree care Sometimes we have no choice but remove a tree because, for example the tree is dead or dying and has become hazardous. When this occurs we can use a number of techniques to remove the tree depending on the sensitivity of the situation.

If at all possible we will fell the tree using directional felling techniques and/or winches to control the direction of fall or the tree.

When there is limited space or obstacles we can sectionally dismantle the tree in situ using rigging and lowering techniques to avoid any damage to property or the surroundings.

Where appropriate we can use mobile cranes to assist in the safe removal of the tree.

Pruning

The different types of pruning we can carry out is detailed below.

Deadwood Pruning/Crown Cleaning

Roper tree care Deadwood pruning can be necessary when there is dead, dying, broken and / or diseased branch wood that needs to be removed from the tree due to health and safety and also Liability reasons i.e risk of branches detailed falling on members of the public.

However it should be noted that where there is limited public access it can often be advantageous to leave these branches on as a habitat and food source for wildlife. Please ask our for our advice on issues such as this!

 

Crown Lifting

Crown Lifting can be carried out to reveal views or allow access for vehicles by removing selected lower branches on a tree.

Crown Thinning

Crown thinning is the sensitive removal of selected branches in the crown of the tree to produce an even density of foliage along with a balanced structure to allow light penetration and lessen wind resistance.

Crown Reduction Pruning

Crown reduction techniques can be used to reduce the height, width or spread of a tree while maintaining its balance and structural integrity.

Overhanging branches removal

We can also remove specific overhanging branches from a tree if it has started to encroach on the boundary of your house.

Roper tree care We can prune, trim, reduce and maintain all varieties of hedge to keep them in tip top condition and prevent them from going straggly or straying across paths/boundaries ensuring they look good all year round.

Whatever the type and size of your hedge we have the knowledge and equipment to help maintain and shape your hedges to your requirements.

We also offer maintenance contracts to come to your site multiple times throughout the season at a discounted cost.

Emergency work

Often after windy weather trees will have partially lost limbs or in the worst case fallen over.

Dealing with trees that have fallen due to winds can be a dangerous task. We are fully trained and experienced in dealing with windswept trees in a safe manner - ensuring there is no more damage to persons or property.

Our team can come out at short notice and carry out emergency work ensuring your site is left in a safe condition.
